LOUGHBOROUGH CHESS CLUB

About the Club

Loughborough Chess Club was founded about 1890 and currently is one of the strongest clubs in the Leicestershire Chess League.  For the 2006-07 season, the club has entered three teams in the League.

The club also organises a few annual tournaments:

Any chess player who drops in on a club evening can usually be sure of a game.  The most popular format is a 'friendly' 10 minutes game.

People who continue to attend the club are expected to pay an annual subscription fee.  Currently, the standard rate is £45.
